Patty Morin relayed the story of the horrific murder of her daughter.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt invited Patty Morin, the mother of Rachel Morin, to speak at a press briefing on Wednesday. Rachel Morin was a Maryland mother of five who was brutally raped and murdered by an illegal alien from El Salvador in 2023. The murderer was recently convicted of the crimes.
Patty Morin addressed the advocacy surrounding Kilmar Abrego Garcia, the Salvadoran gang member who was deported, which has been prominent in the media. She described in detail the horrifying attack that her daughter experienced.
“Why should we allow violent criminals that have no conscience at all to murder our mothers, our sisters, our daughters?” Patty Morin said to reporters. “We are American citizens. We need to protect our families, our borders, our children.”
After journalists conveyed condolences, Morin said, “Please tell the truth… this is more than politics.”
